Do I have to upload my files to your servers?
No. You don't have to upload anything to our servers. You have the option of using our service and uploading the content you want distributed to us, or you can us the origin server approach and we will pull the content from your server(s) and the copies will be served from our network rather from your server. Many established sites prefer the origin server approach because integration only consists of a dns change and not an upload process.
How do you cope with bandwidth leeching?
As a CastMetrix customer you can setup allowed referers in the management dashboard and all requests that don't match the list will receive a 403 error.
Is there any limit to the size of the files?
No. You can offload small images as well as big downloads like CD images.
Is adult content allowed?
Yes. All kinds of content are allowed within law. What comes delivered from our servers is actually mirrored content from your server(s).
Should my site be "big enough" to user CastMetrix?
No. You decide whether you need to offload your content. We don't define any rules here. Both "small" and "big" sites can greatly benefit from our network.
